STAR Michael Farkas brings two decades of experience, relationships and contacts and a solid reputation in the entertainment, talent management, advertising, marketing and media industries to the FAT CITY MEDIA team and its diverse clientele.

STAR Farkas formed the parent corporation; FAT CITY MEDIA in early 2002 and shortly thereafter branched off with what quickly became his main focus, the extremely successful personal management firm now known as “TALENTED MANAGERS”, where the focus is on discovering, developing and managing; actors for TV/Film/Theater/Commercial work, working models for print/fashion/runway, as well as the unique specialty of assisting working models in their transition to a successful career in acting.

STAR Prior to “TALENTED MANAGERS”, Farkas worked with the innovative but now defunct boutique high fashion women’s model management firm, “Company Management”; the budding talent management firm “Flutie Entertainment” and their off-shoot public relations wing “Flutie Media” where he oversaw daily activities for these three sister companies, by managing internal and client/talent affairs alongside then President and renowned entertainment industry and talent branding expert Michael Flutie (now of “MFO - Michael Flutie’s Office") and his staff, as well as organizing and initiating new business relationships and talent scouting & development projects for these organizations.

STAR Before joining the Flutie organization, Farkas was briefly the account manager for “Direct Resources International – DRI” (now known as "Exposed Brick"), a small but full service advertising and communications consulting firm, founded by direct to consumer brand guru Andrew Cohen, specializing in brand building and marketing for various consumer goods and service providers, publications and media entities via direct response television spots featuring well known talent, as well as web site development, production and maintenance.

STARPrior to DRI, Farkas spent seven years with “International Creative Management - ICM”, one of the largest talent agencies in the world, where he worked his way up from the mailroom in the agent trainee program to a position as an assistant to Sam Cohn, the original “super agent”, corporate vice chairman and at the time, head of ICM’s New York theatrical and motion picture departments.

STAR Farkas started his career in 1987 as an unpaid intern in the promotions department of the radio station WXRK 92.3FM K-Rock in New York City, which at the time was the home of media personality Howard Stern. Farkas was soon hired as a full employee and continued working for K-Rock in infinite capacities, until earning his bachelor’s degree in Communications and Mass Media from Hunter College.

STAR A New York City native, Michael Farkas is devoted to his family, the talent that he manages & his colleagues. He loves his work, but also enjoys music, TV, film, fashion, modern art, pop culture, the Internet, collecting mountain bikes and spending his free time with his children and family.
